4. What is the difference between Elite and National teams?

Elite and National Teams are highly competitive “travel” teams competing in tournaments and national qualifiers, which take place in the North Texas Region, State of Texas, and throughout the United States. Players with aspirations of playing collegiate volleyball are strongly encouraged to try out for Elite and National teams. The goal of these teams is to qualify for the U.S. Junior National Championships.  Players and parents should understand that playing time is NOT GUARANTEED. It is in the best interest of the team we compete to qualify and this may include  players not playing in some matches.  Elite teams will have first selection at tryouts and Nationals teams will select second.  All teams are made up of ten players and practice twice a week for a minimum of four hours total, except when a tournament conflicts with practice. Most tournaments are two days with the exception of national qualifiers, which are three.
