Victory Faith Foundation

Victory Volleyball Club description of our Faith Foundation

VICTORY Volleyball Club is a multi-denominational, Christian-based, non-profit sports organization.  The following statement of faith is the foundation of VICTORY Volleyball Club.  However, we welcome all families to participate in VICTORY and to join us in the journey as we strive to glorify God with every aspect of our lives – including volleyball! It is not necessary to agree with these beliefs to participate in VICTORY programs.

VICTORY Statement of Faith

We believe the following foundations of the Christian faith:

  • There is one God.  God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe.  God exists in the Trinity, Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.
Genesis 1:1  “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
Matthew 28:19  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,"

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God.  It is without error.  It is the source of truth and authority for our lives.
2 Timothy 3:16  “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,"
Psalm 119:105  “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path."

  • All people are created in the image of God.  Since sin entered the world we are all sinners and we all have a need for a savior.
Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them."
Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

  • Salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ, God’s son.  Anyone who chooses to believe in Jesus Christ and accept that his death on the cross was the necessary atonement for his/her sin is a Christian.
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast."
John 1:12 “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God"
John 14:6   Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me."
