"We are proud of our
past...committed to your
future."
VICTORY Volleyball
Club takes a personal
approach as we assist our
players through the college
recruiting process. As many
of our VICTORY athletes
desire to continue playing
volleyball in college, we
strive to educate, assist
and encourage.
Educate: We
have compiled resources and
helpful information to
educate our VICTORY athletes
and their parents. Each
year we hold a college
recruiting information
meeting that is open to all
VICTORY families. We
provide helpful information
regarding NCAA recruiting
rules and give helpful
suggestions and timelines.
Assist: We
help our VICTORY athletes as
they identify colleges of
interest and begin to
contact these programs. We
have developed several tools
that are available to all
VICTORY athletes as they
create their own player
profile to be distributed to
college coaches. We also
provide guidance in
developing a player
recruiting video.
Encourage:
VICTORY directors and
coaches desire to encourage
and support our VICTORY
families as they experience
both the excitement and
stress of the college
recruiting process. It is
our goal to help each player
find the perfect fit,
athletically, academically
and socially as they head
into the future.
Our
approach is best summarized
in the following testimonial
by a VICTORY family that is
currently going through the
recruiting process:

Parent Testimonials
The staff
at Victory, led by Ryan Mitchell, was helpful,
persistent, reassuring, and
tireless in their effort to
find the perfect college
volleyball match for our
daughter. We would have
overlooked the opportunity
that came up if Erin had not
been watching out for us and
staying on top of our
situation and the changes
going on around us. And I
think that it's worth noting
that the university that
will be Jessie's home for
the next four years wants to
form a bond with Victory
Volleyball because of the
club's leadership and the
ideals that they stand
behind. The assistant coach
at Tulsa summed it up when
he said that "Erin and Ryan
are great people. I just
hope that my son is
fortunate enough to have
someone like that in his
life."

If your
daughter has the desire to
take volleyball to the next
level and play in college,
you now wear a new hat, for
me it was Managing Director
of KP, Incorporated. I have
to say that I never would
have thought that the
process could begin early in
Kristen's freshman year;
however, Victory began at
that time to provide basic
information for various
tools in the recruiting
process, including the use
of websites, printed and
electronic profiles for each
girl, as well as Victory
staff and coaches personal
interaction with college
coaches at tournaments and
by telephone. Listen and
learn because there are
things all along the way
that you can use, from
parent information meetings,
to written information that
the coaches give directly to
the girls, to one-on-one
conversations and e-mails
from the staff. Don't fret
if you are not computer savy,
all you have to do is ask
and someone will be glad to
help you. However, while
your daughter may not have
come to the decision to play
until later in her Sophmore
and/or Junior year, there is
still time to review any
information, put together
marketing tools and
communicate with the coaches
and staff to help develop a
plan of action. While we
could wait and let our girls
grow up to manage this on
their own, the reality is
that "yes" it can begin
early and "yes" it takes
time which is where the
parents can help to assemble
information, direct and lead
the girls in their
effective communication with
the college coaches via
e-mail and/or
telephone. Victory is
truly committed to providing
a Christian atmosphere for
our girls to grow, learn and
prepare them for the next
years and beyond.& nbsp; I
am very thankful and feel
blessed that Kristen has her
second family - Victory;
friendships with coaches,
teammates and their familes that
will be a part of her
always.

The recruiting
process for volleyball has
been a little confusing,
moderately stressful, and a
lot of hard work. We were
exposed to the process once
before at a different club
in Dallas, and we are now
experiencing it for a second
time with VICTORY.
There is simply no
comparison.
The involvement of
everyone at VICTORY has been
completely supportive and
proactive. Both our coach
and the director have been
actively involved in
educating us, helping with
recruiting materials, and
making phone calls on behalf
of our daughter - both in
response to inquiries and to
schools where there might be
a potential match. All of
this was done after talking
with our daughter and trying
to understand what she was
really interested in.
We've had at least
five club staff members at
various times throughout the
season standing at courtside
initiating conversations
with passing college coaches
and providing them with
recruiting materials for
either our daughter or other
girls on the team with
interests that better match
that school. We've been
involved in club volleyball
for five years, and I can
honestly say that I've never
witnessed this kind of
support from any other
club.
The process isn't
complete yet, and it will be
an interesting year as we
finish traveling the
recruiting trail. No matter
where the final match is
found, I'm confident that we
will have been given more
heartfelt and involved
support from the entire
VICTORY staff than we would
be able find with any other
coaching staff in the
country.
