VICTORY Volleyball
Club takes a personal
approach as we assist our
players through the college
recruiting process. As many
of our VICTORY athletes
desire to continue playing
volleyball in college, we
strive to educate, assist
and encourage.
Educate: We
have compiled resources and
helpful information to
educate our VICTORY athletes
and their parents. Each
year we hold a college
recruiting information
meeting that is open to all
VICTORY families. We
provide helpful information
regarding NCAA recruiting
rules and give helpful
suggestions and timelines.
Assist: We
help our VICTORY athletes as
they identify colleges of
interest and begin to
contact these programs. We
have developed several tools
that are available to all
VICTORY athletes as they
create their own player
profile to be distributed to
college coaches. We also
provide guidance in
developing a player
recruiting video.
Encourage:
VICTORY directors and
coaches desire to encourage
and support our VICTORY
families as they experience
both the excitement and
stress of the college
recruiting process. It is
our goal to help each player
find the perfect fit,
athletically, academically
and socially as they head
into the future.
Our
approach is best summarized
in the following testimonial
by a VICTORY family that is
currently going through the
recruiting process:
The recruiting
process for volleyball has
been a little confusing,
moderately stressful, and a
lot of hard work. We were
exposed to the process once
before at a different club
in Dallas, and we are now
experiencing it for a second
time with VICTORY.
There is simply no
comparison.
The involvement of
everyone at VICTORY has been
completely supportive and
proactive. Both our coach
and the director have been
actively involved in
educating us, helping with
recruiting materials, and
making phone calls on behalf
of our daughter - both in
response to inquiries and to
schools where there might be
a potential match. All of
this was done after talking
with our daughter and trying
to understand what she was
really interested in.
We've had at least
five club staff members at
various times throughout the
season standing at courtside
initiating conversations
with passing college coaches
and providing them with
recruiting materials for
either our daughter or other
girls on the team with
interests that better match
that school. We've been
involved in club volleyball
for five years, and I can
honestly say that I've never
witnessed this kind of
support from any other
club.
The process isn't
complete yet, and it will be
an interesting year as we
finish traveling the
recruiting trail. No matter
where the final match is
found, I'm confident that we
will have been given more
heartfelt and involved
support from the entire
VICTORY staff than we would
be able find with any other
coaching staff in the
country.
Sincerely,
A VICTORY
