Michaella Gilliland brings expertise from playing at the collegiate level and coaching at the developmental level. As a freshman, Michaella was starting middle St. Edward’s University in Austin before transferring to Texas A&M where she received her bachelor’s and Master’s while playing club volleyball for the university and winning Women’s Nationals in 2011. Prior to college she qualified for Junior Olympics with her high school club teams several years in a row and was selected to play on the Lone Star region’s High-Performance team in 2004, which earned 4th place in the National tournament that year. She has expertise in Middle, Right Side and Left Back but enjoys coaching all positions. Most importantly, she sees each player as a dynamic individual and seeks to encourage young women both on and off the court through the intersection of spiritual growth, mental toughness and physical potential.
