12gold-coach-victoryvbc-fujiko-photography-512-19Volleyball has been apart of Paxton Wright’s life for over 12 years with both playing and coaching since high school. Born and raised in Plano, Texas, her journey started in 3rd grade at a church sports camp, ever since then volleyball has been a part of her everyday. Playing in both middle school and high school helped shape the type of coach she is today. Her experience includes playing two years of volleyball on a JV team for HSAA in high school as a Setter/ RS and playing two years of Varsity for THESA Riders in Fort Worth, Texas as a DS/Libero. During her senior year her team won both Homeschool State in Dallas, Texas and Homeschool Nationals in Omaha, Nebraska in 2017. She also played club for TAV in 2016.
Paxton has over 4 years coaching experience at a competitive level. Today, she currently coaches for THESA Riders in Fort Worth, Texas and this is her first year coaching for Victory. She currently still plays competitive volleyball in her spare time, both sand and indoor volleyball. At the moment Paxton lives with her two dogs and one cat in Plano, Texas. One of her biggest goals as a coach is, she loves to help girls grow in the sport, as well as spiritually at any age. Her favorite verse is, Deuteronomy 31:6 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
